Job Summary:




As a Chef de Partie at Wallacea Living, you will take responsibility for a specific section of the kitchen, producing high-quality dishes that enhance the premium lifestyle experience of our owners. You will work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team, supporting junior chefs and contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of daily food service.


This is an ideal role for a confident, organised chef with a passion for culinary excellence, a strong sense of responsibility, and experience in premium hospitality or residential dining environments.


Key Responsibilities:




Food Preparation & Culinary Execution




Take ownership of a designated section of the kitchen (e.g. grill, larder, sauces). Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with menu specifications and presentation standards. Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu execution and service delivery. Uphold portion and quality control at all stages of preparation and service. Train and mentor junior chefs (Commis) working within your section.

Kitchen Operations & Cleanliness




Ensure your section is properly set up before service and thoroughly cleaned down after. Maintain the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and organisation. Adhere to food safety regulations and company standards at all times. Take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness and compliance in line with HACCP protocols.

Stock & Waste Management




Assist in the accurate ordering, labelling, and rotation of stock (FIFO). Monitor and minimise food waste while maintaining quality and consistency. Receive and check deliveries, ensuring proper storage and quality control.

Collaboration & Communication




Work proactively and collaboratively with the wider kitchen and community team. Communicate effectively with front-of-house and kitchen colleagues to ensure smooth service. Follow Head Chef and Sous Chef instructions precisely and contribute to a positive kitchen culture.

About You:




To be successful in this role, the Chef De Partie will possess the following:

Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in a high-quality or luxury kitchen. Strong culinary knowledge with proficiency across multiple kitchen sections. Attention to detail in preparation, cooking, and plating. A working knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, COSHH). Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members. Ability to manage your time, work cleanly, and remain calm under pressure. Formal food hygiene certification (Level 2 or above). A positive attitude, team spirit, and genuine passion for delivering outstanding food. All applicants must pass background checks, including an enhanced DBS, in line with Wallacea Livings safeguarding commitments.
