We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner for service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
Follow food safety protocols to ensure the highest quality of meals
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management
Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
A passion for cooking and delivering exceptional dining experiences
