We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of taste and presentation.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices
Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all food served
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies
Participate in menu development by providing input on new dishes or improvements to existing offerings
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or similar environment
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen
Previous experience in meal preparation and serving is advantageous
A keen interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills
