We are now on the look out for a highly passionate and dedicated chef to join our amazing kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced independent restaurant. As a chef de partie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation, while adhering to food safety regulations.
The Job
Very competitive salary at 30,000 per year and paid overtime!
Tronc system paying around 10,000 per year due to us being a highly successful and established business with a great team
+ Cash tips paid monthly
28 days holiday
5 day week, Wednesday - Sunday
Closed Christmas day, boxing day and New years.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items such as homemade focaccia, starters and desserts
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace
Follow food safety protocols to ensure the highest hygiene standards are met
Assist with meal preparation and plating for service
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Participate in training new kitchen staff as required
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, preferably within a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
