Key Responsibilities:
As Chef de Partie at The Fleece Hotel, you will be a key member of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards. Your key duties will include:
Food Preparation & Cooking:
Ensure all dishes are prepared and cooked to the highest standards in line with our menu specifications and seasonal offerings.
Section Management:
Take ownership of your designated section, ensuring the smooth running of your area during service.
Quality Control:
Assist in maintaining consistency and high-quality standards across all dishes.
Teamwork:
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely service, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Stock Management:
Assist in stock control, including receiving deliveries, rotation, and minimizing food waste.
Hygiene & Health & Safety:
Adhere to all health and safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations in the kitchen.
Training & Development:
Support junior team members in their development, ensuring skills are passed down and standards are maintained.
Skills & Experience Required:
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a Chef de Partie or similar role within a busy, quality kitchen.
Culinary Knowledge:
A strong understanding of food preparation, presentation, and high standards of kitchen hygiene.
Passion:
A genuine passion for food and a desire to contribute to the growth and success of the kitchen team.
Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and under pressure, ensuring excellent service is delivered at all times.
Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage time effectively and maintain a high level of productivity.
Adaptability:
Willingness to work in different sections and adapt to changing menus and requirements.
Qualification:
A relevant culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
