Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary techniques, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as required. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety guidelines to maintain high hygiene standards. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the Head Chef Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen procedures. Participate in menu planning and suggest new dishes or improvements based on seasonal ingredients.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight guests. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A team player who can communicate effectively with colleagues in the kitchen.
