Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Assist in the development of new menu items and contribute creative ideas for meal preparation. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager. Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that exceed guest expectations. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
