About Us:

Rowton Castle is a family-owned wedding venue located in the Shropshire countryside, not far from the market town of Shrewsbury.

We love what we do and have had the pleasure of helping thousands of couples get married over the last 20 years - we genuinely want for our couples to have the best wedding day, and it shows. We operate primarily for weddings (around 200 per year), but on non-wedding days, our services and facilities range from conferencing to overnight stays with dinner; the castle has 19 bedrooms and a 40-cover restaurant.

The Role:

In the role of Chef de Partie, you'll have the opportunity to gain experience working across all areas of the kitchen and will be key in supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef.

You should have creative culinary skills matched with a good work ethic. Confident in all aspects of food preparation and service, you will be expected to make the most of the fresh local produce whilst able to produce food of a consistently high standard. We expect you to have a desire to learn, work well within an established brigade and be an important member of the Castle team.

Other essential requirements of the Chef de Partie :

2 years spent and experience gained in a similar working environment is essential Must adhere to food safety and cleaning standards Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to work under pressure Must be able to work within a team Should be driven and self-motivated Must be eligible to live and work in the UK

This is a full time position of 40-45 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days to include weekends and evenings.
