Job Summary

We are searching for the ideal Chef de Partie, who will be consistent, capable under pressure and confident in their abilities. They will hold significant responsibility in the delivery of service in the kitchen, and in so doing will be supported by the team of Demi Chefs de Partie and Commis Chefs, along with the team of Kitchen Porters. The Chef de Partie will report to the Head Chef and the Kitchen Manager, and contribute to a team that delivers quality dishes consistently.

Responsibilities

Support the Head Chef and Kitchen Manager in day to day Kitchen operations. Production on all sections on a daily basis. Capable of executing all menu items for assigned sections. Total understanding of emergency and work safety procedures. Ordering for assigned sections, and assisting junior chefs with the same. Consistently following recipes to produce high quality dishes. Ensuring standards of quality and hygiene are always maintained. Ensure that daily tasks are completed in full, and hand-overs to the Head Chef and Kitchen Manager are done. Maintaining organisational and cleanliness standards throughout assigned sections and throughout the day. Competently and patiently support junior staff in their training and development.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential; hotel experience is highly desirable. Culinary experience with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques is preferred. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is crucial. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a busy kitchen setting.
