We are seeking a Chef de Partie to join our new venture. We have just opened The Kings Head in Chitterne and are now recruiting help for our Chef in the Kitchen. The hours are Weds - Sat - Split shifts, Sunday 12-5pm.
This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to learn and progress in a fresh local food kitchen. Transport needed due to location.
Pay depends on age and experience.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and cooking stations.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
Collaborate with fellow cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management.
Help with the training of new kitchen staff as required.
Participate in menu planning and development by providing feedback on dishes.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight guests.
