As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies when necessary.
Contribute to menu development by providing feedback on dishes and suggesting improvements.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, coupled with the ability to operate them safely.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with the ability to work as part of a team.
