Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Assist in meal preparation for special events or large groups as required
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Previous kitchen or culinary experience is highly desirable
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy restaurant environment
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience in meal preparation for various dietary requirements is an advantage
Knowledge of serving techniques and customer service principles
