Location: Enoteca by Luva, York
Reports To: Head Chef / Sous Chef
Hours: Part-time or Full-time (flexible shifts)
Pay: 13 per hour plus tips
Purpose of Role
To assist the chefs with food preparation, cleaning, and organization to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with basic food preparation (chopping, cleaning, portioning).
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and storage areas.
Wash dishes and utensils as required.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and allergen guidelines.
Support chefs during busy service periods.
Receive and store deliveries correctly.
Carry out other tasks as directed by the Head or Second Chef.
Requirements
Previous kitchen experience preferred but not essential.
Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
