Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Chef on a Fixed Term Contract! This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled culinary professional to work within in a small cafe kitchen environment. You will play a pivotal role in delivering quality freshly prepared breakfasts and lunches while managing kitchen operations, and food production. If you thrive in fast-paced settings and have a flair for customer service, we want to hear from you!

What you'll do

Be skilled in food preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards of quality and food presentation. Manage and control ,food handling processes to maintain high standards of consistency and minimize waste. Work with the cafe staff, providing support and teamwork and enhance our cafe diners experience. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences. Have experience in a fast paced "short order" cooking environment and manage working time effectively

Basic qualifications

Proven experience in the culinary field with a strong background in catering.

Preferred qualifications

NVQ or similar in Food Production. Demonstrated skills in working in a small team with experience in customer service. Knowledge of food service management principles, including food safety management and cost control. Culinary experience that includes food production, preparation, and service across various cuisines.
