An experienced, passionate chef with a background in quality fresh food properties is required for this role. Excellent all-round kitchen knowledge is essential. Strong organisational skills are needed to ensure the kitchen is fully prepped for busy service times and the department runs smoothly. We serve good fresh pub food, and you will have the opportunity to contribute/create the menus, so enthusiasm is key.

Experience:
NVQ level 2 (minimum)
Kitchen: 3 years in similar role (required)
Basic food hygiene certificate (preferred)
Basic knowledge of COSHH

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Monitor food production processes to maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency.
Ensure all food safety standards are strictly followed, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
Daily and weekly cleans
Assist in menu planning and development to introduce innovative dishes that meet customer preferences
Manage inventory levels, weekly stock takes and minimise waste
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is required
Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective team management skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff
Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
