Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, visual presentation along with high standard great tasting food. You must have a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will be responsible for running the kitchen and helping create our vision for the future of the cafe and delivering menu ideas, themed nights and plenty more!

START DATE: 15th May 2025

We now own a pizza trailer, in which you can get additional hours! If you have experience as a pizza chef this will be an added bonus to us!

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Work with the owners to show processes in the kitchen and enable smooth running when you are on your days off. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment. Develop new menu items and specials that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Monitor portion sizes and presentation of dishes to ensure consistency and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all health regulations are adhered to. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Work with the owners to help create an organic working relationship that helps everybody thrive.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment. Strong culinary skills with a passion for food production and presentation. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. ability to take instruction and create Great tasting, good looking food. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and kitchen management. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
