Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food production, food safety, and hospitality. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Duties

Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation and high-quality food production. Lead the team in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations. Collaborate with the management team to develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food preparation, and safety protocols. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to maintain stock levels. Ensure the kitchen is organised, clean, and well-maintained at all times. Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Strong supervisory and team management skills with the ability to lead by example. In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen environment. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Zero hours contract

Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour
