Surfside, located in the popular seaside town of Polzeath is one of only two beach bars/restaurants located right on the sand in cornwall. We have a restaurant serving fresh local produce and seafood with a lively rum bar located in a cove behind it.
With the season already upon us we are looking for a new member to join our kitchen team as soon as possible. If accommodation is required, we are able to offer a caravan in a local campsite or a dorm room in a hostel just over the road.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creating innovative dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food quality and safety while leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production to ensure quality and consistency.
Develop and design menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to maintain cost efficiency.
Innovate new recipes while also refining existing ones based on guest feedback.
Ensure the kitchen is well-organised, clean, and equipped for efficient operation.
Requirements
Ideally experience in previous culinary backgrounds
Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
Excellent teamwork skills.
A deep understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
