Responsibilities

Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as necessary to ensure availability. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety practices. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing food production processes. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
