Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts, demonstrating exceptional skills in food preparation and kitchen management. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating delightful dining experiences, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of kitchen staff to deliver high-quality dishes.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking in the kitchen. Develop and implement innovative menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their culinary skills. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction. Train new kitchen employees on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols. Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for culinary arts. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the capability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not essential.
