Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background and have a flair for creativity in food preparation. This role requires someone who maintain food safety standards, and deliver exceptional dining experiences in this popular village pub known for its food offerings.

Generally food service finishes by 9pm daily.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring all team members are performing their duties effectively. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure the health and safety of all guests. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Ensure the kitchen is organised, clean, and well-maintained at all times. Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with a comprehensive understanding of food preparation techniques. Experience in supervising kitchen staff and leading a team effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. Whilst own transport is not required it is recommended due to unsociable hours

Pay: 12.21-18.31 per hour
