We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Chef Manager to join our team in Hamilton, United Kingdom. As the Chef Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our kitchen operations, developing innovative menus, and Preparing Jury Meals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop well-balanced, nutritious menus and manage kitchen operations, ensuring cost-effective practices whilst maintaining high-quality standards
Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate catering staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and clients
Ensure strict compliance with UK food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control protocols
Oversee inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting for the kitchen department
Identify opportunities for growth and innovation in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency, incorporating customer feedback and culinary trends
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef Manager in a quality-focused environment
Demonstrated ability to manage, train, and support a team effectively
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and driving commercial performance
Excellent coaching, delegation, and influencing skills
Ability to prioritise multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment
Meticulous organisational abilities and high attention to detail
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications
In-depth knowledge of UK food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Expertise in menu planning and development
Proficiency in kitchen management software
Adaptability and resilience in facing challenges and opportunities
Customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
