The

Chef Manager

serves as the on-site leader, combining culinary expertise with strong business and people management skills to deliver exceptional food and service. This role involves full responsibility for the financial performance and day-to-day catering operations, ensuring high standards, creativity, and compliance across all areas.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee all catering operations, including stock, food, and labour control, to maximise profitability. Lead the preparation of fresh, nutritious, and high-quality meals while continuously developing menus. Inspire, coach, and develop the catering team to deliver consistent excellence and uphold company standards. Drive commercial growth through promotions, events, and innovative initiatives. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and conduct regular audits. Maintain strong relationships with clients and customers, representing Stir professionally on site.

Ideal Candidate



Proven leader with experience managing catering teams and achieving financial targets. Skilled in fresh, craft-based cooking with a passion for quality and creativity. Strong understanding of gross profit management and kitchen Health & Safety practices. OND/HND qualification preferred but not essential.

Package



15 per hour 31.25 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am - 2:15pm (no weekends or late nights) 39 working weeks per year (term-time only) Access to apprenticeships and professional development opportunities Enhanced DBS check required Access to our dedicated Learning & Development team for apprenticeships and advanced training courses available to all staff.
