As the
Chef Manager
at
Streatham & Clapham Prep School
, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of meals for both the prep school and nursery. You will lead a small, dedicated team and ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and service are maintained.

Oversee food preparation and meal service for the prep school and nursery
Lead and manage a small team of 4-6 staff
Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and health and safety are maintained
Plan and develop menus that meet the needs of students and staff
Manage stock control and order supplies as needed
Control food budgets and ensure cost-effective operations
Ensure meals are nutritious, balanced, and cater to dietary requirements
Monitor and maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
Maintain a positive, collaborative working environment within the kitchen team
Qualifications
Experience in a similar chef or kitchen management role
Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene certification (or equivalent)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Passion for quality food and a commitment to high standards of service
