Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef Manager to lead our catering team at Footherley Hall Catholic Convent Nursing Home.

Social Care Catering are an ambitious, independently owned, food catering company. Fresh home cooked food is provided at all of our sites, so excellent culinary skills are a prerequisite, with a passion for giving the best possible dining experience for our residents and clients. This role requires a blend of creativity and leadership to ensure high standards of food preparation and production while fostering a positive team environment. You will also have full responsibility for the financial and operational performance of the catering service, reporting directly to the Directors.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and residents preferences. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional development. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient food production. Collaborate with care staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor food quality and presentation to uphold the establishment's standards.

Experience

Proven experience in a culinary role within a care or hospitality setting is essential. Strong leadership skills with a track record of supervising kitchen teams effectively. In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends. Experience in menu planning and food production management is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to liaise with both kitchen and care teams. A passion for creating innovative dishes while adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
