As a Chef at The Royal Oak, you will be an integral part of the kitchen team, working collaboratively the Head Chef in delivering high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients. You will take ownership of your responsibilities within the kitchen and work effectively to ensure a smooth and efficient service, upholding our standards of quality, cleanliness, and professionalism.

SKILLS AND QUALITIES REQUIRED
Experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
A good understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Willingness to learn and develop skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, remaining calm under pressure.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
A positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to follow instructions and take initiative when needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role you are responsible for:
Preparing and cooking menu items to the required standard under the supervision of the Head Chef
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within your work area and across the kitchen.
Assisting with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
Supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen tasks and service preparation.
Following all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
Monitoring and minimising food waste through proper preparation and storage techniques.
Taking care of equipment and reporting any issues to the senior team.
Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient service during busy periods.
Demonstrating a passion for food and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the kitchen team.
