Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
Assist in meal preparation for special events or catering services
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Skills
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary skills
