Responsibilities

At least 1 year experience with laminated and brioche doughs. Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organised, and compliant with food safety regulations. Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly. Follow proper portion control guidelines to minimise waste while maximising quality.

Skills

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, particularly in pastry or dessert preparation. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Level 2 or above Food Hygiene Certificate. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Creativity in baking and presentation techniques. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures related to pastry production. Good communication skills and an open and friendly demeanour.
