We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Chef Pastry specializing in Cakes to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring creative cake decorating skills, extensive pastry experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality baked goods. This role involves preparing, decorating, and packaging exquisite cakes for various occasions, ensuring excellent presentation and taste. The Chef Pastry will work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining food safety standards while providing exceptional customer service.
Duties
Prepare and bake a variety of cakes , pastries according to established recipes and specifications
Decorate cakes with intricate designs, using advanced cake decorating techniques
Package finished products securely for delivery or display, ensuring presentation quality
Assist in food production and food preparation processes within the pastry section
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations in compliance with food safety standards
Handle food ingredients with proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and customer orders
Contribute to catering events or restaurant service as needed, providing top-tier culinary presentation
Ensure all baking tools, knives, and equipment are properly maintained and sanitized
Requirements
Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, and pastry arts within the food industry or restaurant environment
Strong culinary experience with a focus on food preparation, food safety, and kitchen operations
Skilled in cake decorating techniques, including piping, fondant work, and intricate designs
Knowledge of packaging methods suitable for baked goods to preserve freshness and presentation
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food handling standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is preferred
Formal culinary training or pastry certification if possible.
