We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations and a flair for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety while leading and inspiring your kitchen team.
Duties
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and adherence to food safety standards.
Must do roast carvery / info Chinese food / English food
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to guest preferences.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Monitor food preparation processes to maintain quality control and consistency in all dishes served.
Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to optimise kitchen profitability.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant setting, with a strong understanding of culinary techniques and food safety regulations.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in both food preparation and kitchen management.
Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding dining experiences for guests.
Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory; practical experience is highly valued.
