is seeking a

Chef / School Cook

to join our small and friendly catering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual who takes pride in preparing quality meals in a fast paced environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparation and service of a light evening snack (5.00pm) and a one-course evening meal (7.00pm) for students Occasional hospitality catering as required by the school Completion of daily food preparation lists and due diligence documentation Ensuring the kitchen is cleaned, closed, and maintained to a high standard Adhering to all food safety, health and safety, and allergen awareness regulations Working effectively both independently and as part of a small team You will be supported by two catering assistants to assist with service and cleaning duties

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week Monday to Friday, 12.00pm - 8.00pm One Saturday per month (7.00am - 1.00pm, 3.00pm - 6.00pm), will be exchanged for a weekday off or paid overtime if required Bank holidays may be required if they fall within your shift pattern, with additional leave provided in recompense

Salary:

Circa 27,000 per annum depending on experience

Requirements:

Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Allergen Awareness certificates (training can be provided before commencement if required) Ability to follow established menu cycles and maintain consistent quality standards Strong organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
