We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that meet our high standards of hospitality while supervising kitchen staff and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and innovative recipes.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Train new kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively.
Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for culinary arts.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes and menu items that excite guests.
