Job Overview

We are looking for a chef or cook with an enthusiastic can-do approach to work in our busy kitchen in our cafe at Stamford Garden Centre. We are looking for people who can work some weekdays and some weekends.

You must have:

a passion for food experience of working in a commercial kitchen a willingness to learn a good knowledge and understanding of food and food hygiene excellent communication skills the ability to work well with others under pressure be able to repare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. ensure that food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to. be able to collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service during peak hours be able to handle kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, performing routine maintenance as required. be prepared to uphold the values of the business and follow the processes in the employee handbook
In addition, the team relies upon flexibility, adaptability and reliability.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment is essential. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety regulations. . A passion for culinary arts with an eagerness to continually learn and develop new skills. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
