Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of a section within our kitchen. This is a full-time position that offers competitive pay and opportunities for career growth.
Duties:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create and execute menus, ensuring high-quality dishes are served
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and other kitchen workers
- Manage food production, ensuring timely and efficient service
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and specials
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques and best practices
- Monitor food costs and work towards cost reduction without compromising quality
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen area
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Proficient in food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operations
