Job Description
At The Acorn, we're looking to invest in a chef with a passion for local produce. We are looking for someone to run breakfast, lunchtime (and potentially evening) services. We're a local cafe, bar and bistro situated in the centre of Yeovil, we're open 7 days a week and run monthly supper clubs. We're always looking to expand our offering and utilise the wonderful seasonal produce that surrounds us in the Westcountry. We'd welcome a chef with a hunger to 'put their stamp' on our menu, but would be equally happy with someone who can consistently execute our current menu.
Duties
- Prepare and cook meals efficiently
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth service
- Monitor food stock levels and add to order lists as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area
- Follow food safety and allergen guidelines
Requirements
- Kitchen experience
- Knowledge of local food and food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
