Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food production and preparation
- Create and develop new menu items, taking into consideration customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards and regulations
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop strategies for improving efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and culinary trends
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Skills:
- Cook: Proficient in preparing a variety of dishes using different cooking techniques
- Supervising: Ability to oversee kitchen operations and manage a team of kitchen staff
- Food production: Knowledge of efficient food production methods to meet customer demand
- Food preparation: Skillful in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to recipes or customer preferences
- Food safety: Understanding of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices to ensure food safety
