Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance. Manage food inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations. Implement and uphold food safety standards to ensure the well-being of guests. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety procedures. Foster a positive team environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management. In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership abilities with a passion for hospitality. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests. Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen is an advantage. Culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.
