We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production and presentation.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to organisational standards.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and customer expectations.
Monitor food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through effective stock control.
Train junior team members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant setting.
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
Proficient in cooking techniques across various cuisines; passionate about food presentation.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Previous restaurant experience demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced environments.
Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure.
