We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chemical Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring chemical processes, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout production.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Following Standard Operating Procedures, monitoring plant instruments & flow meters to verify conformity of process conditions
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and processes to identify any issues or inefficiencies.
Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and any deviations from standard operations.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve operational problems.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Utilise basic maths skills for measuring and mixing chemicals accurately.
Operate mobile plant equipment
Loading & Unloading tankers (in the absence of the site loader)
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chemical Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting (preferably working on a COMAH site)
Proficient in basic maths for calculations related to chemical mixtures.
Knowledge of the use of chemicals, production processes and disposal methods
