Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Test Preparation Tutor to support students in their academic journey, specifically in preparing for various standardised tests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their goals. This role involves working closely with students to identify their strengths and weaknesses, developing tailored study plans, and providing guidance in test-taking strategies.

Duties

Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions focused on test preparation for standardised assessments. Assess students' current knowledge and skills to create personalised learning plans. Provide instruction in relevant subjects, ensuring clarity and comprehension of material. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles. Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary to ensure understanding. Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement. Maintain a supportive and positive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.

Skills

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in a test preparation context. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex concepts clearly. Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and adaptability in various learning situations. Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous, allowing for inclusive teaching methods. Ability to motivate students and foster a love for learning while preparing them for their assessments.
