Our aim in the CAO Data Office is to drive improvements in data management to achieve key business outcomes for Anti-Financial Crime (AFC), Compliance & Legal Functions within CAO. You will assist with the design & roll-out of the Data Management framework driving evolution of Data culture and capabilities.

You will play a key role in the delivery of these outcomes: improved Data Quality, reduction in audit and regulatory findings, more effective controls, and improved operational efficiency.

Your key responsibilities
  • Engage in the delivery of the Data Quality book of work via Agile ceremonies with the team
  • Work with key stakeholders to understand data quality use cases supporting CAO business outcomes, identifying inherent data risks and ensuring data controls are effective
  • Drive sustainable implementation of core components of Data Management Data Quality Standards and Data Controls
  • Support CAO with delivery of data management improvements via data measures, profiling of data and the escalation of data quality issues via the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s strategic systems and processes
  • Analyse the root cause of data quality issues and log into the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s strategic systems for resolution with the relevant Data Producer
  • Support the profiling of data via the update of queries across data resident on the data lake or Cloud using Pentaho, Hue, Structured Query Language (SQL), and other similar analytical tools
Your skills and experience
  • Knowledge of Agile method of delivery within a large Financial Services organisation preferably within AFC or Compliance
  • An understanding of Data Management best practice together with working knowledge of relevant reporting tooling (Tableau, Qlik Sense)
  • Demonstrable ability to utilise tools for building and running queries across large datasets using tools (Pentaho, Hue, or SQL)
  • Experience of delivering improved data outcomes as part of delivering data improvement projects preferably as part of regulatory programmes
  • An understanding of financial services current and future regulatory environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical business colleagues
