The Chief Commercial Officer will lead financial and commercial strategies to support sustainable growth within the university . This role requires expertise in risk management and supplier innovation, paired with a results-driven approach to strategic leadership.

• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with the organisation's goals and mission.
• Oversee accounting and finance operations to ensure financial sustainability and compliance.
• Provide expert advice to the senior leadership team on financial planning and risk management, commercial trends, and opportunities.
• Ensure procurement is seen as a value add function
• Identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost optimisation within the not-for-profit framework.
• Lead negotiations with external stakeholders to secure funding and partnerships.
• Monitor financial performance and present actionable insights to the board.
• Build partnerships with suppliers to deliver joint value programmes

A successful Chief Commercial Officer should have:

• A strong background leadership and influencing at board level
• Proven experience in developing and executing long term strategies
• Proven experience leading procurement at above 200milllion spend
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.
• A track record of delivering measurable results in a strategic leadership capacity.
