About the Opportunity

We are hiring on behalf of a growing UK-based organisation with a team of 35 dedicated staff, operating across multiple sectors. With a fully integrated ERP and accounts system in place, the company is strategically positioned for its next phase of commercial development.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute finance leader to step into a strategic part-time CFO role. You'll work closely with the Managing Director to shape the financial future of the business, with a hands-on approach and a strong focus on growth, optimisation, and long-term planning.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with the Managing Director on strategic financial planning and commercial development Analyse business performance and identify opportunities for improvement Provide financial modelling, scenario planning, and investment analysis Oversee financial controls, compliance, and risk management Utilise ERP systems to generate timely, data-driven insights Lead budgeting, forecasting, and funding initiatives

Candidate Profile

Part-Qualified or Fully Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Previous experience as a CFO or senior finance leader in a growing SME Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting system integration and financial data analysis Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders Must have the right to work in the UK and be based within a reasonable distance of Chester
