Role: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Type: Permanent Location: Erbil, Iraq Salary: GBP 110,000 to 120,000 per annum + package
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for establishing and executing the financial strategy of the flagship development project. This role will oversee all financial functions including governance, planning, investment, funding, and compliance, while ensuring alignment with the broader strategic vision of the client's organisation.

Must Haves

Responsibilities: Financial Governance & Strategy Design and implement robust financial governance structures to ensure transparency, compliance, and accountability throughout the project lifecycle. Define long-term financial strategy in alignment with the strategic and commercial objectives of the development. Capital Planning & Investment Management Lead capital structure planning including debt/equity strategies, financing rounds and fund allocation. Develop sophisticated investment models to assess risk-adjusted returns and secure investor buy-in. Engage with local and international banks investment partners and financial institutions to structure financing packages. Budgeting Forecasting & Reporting Oversee the creation and continuous refinement of project budgets Forecasts and financial plans. Implement rigorous reporting frameworks to provide real-time financial insights and performance tracking. Collaborate with auditors and regulators to ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations. Project Integration & Controls Work closely with engineering, construction, and development teams to align financial planning with project milestones and deliverables. o Design and enforce financial controls that adapt dynamically to evolving project phases. Stakeholder Engagement o Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on all financial matters. Represent the project to investors financial partners, and governmental stakeholders, building trust and promoting financial transparency.
