The Opportunity

We're looking for a commercially astute Chief Financial Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team. This is a pivotal role for someone who wants to make a genuine impact--steering financial performance, driving strategic growth, and ensuring robust governance across our diverse business units.

You'll be working at the intersection of strategy and execution, with the autonomy to shape our financial future while getting hands-on when needed. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

Lead the development and implementation of Group financial strategy, providing insight-driven recommendations to the CEO and Executive Team

Financial Planning & Analysis:

Oversee comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and reporting processes that drive informed decision-making

Performance Management:

Review financial statements, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to optimize performance across all divisions

Cash Flow & Treasury:

Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and financial stability to support sustainable growth

Operational Finance:

Manage core finance functions including purchasing, pricing strategy, investments, AP/AR, and debt management

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and develop Financial Controllers across the Group, building a high-performing finance team

Stakeholder Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with auditors, banks, investors, and external partners

Process Excellence:

Drive standardization and continuous improvement of financial processes across multiple business units

What We're Looking For

Proven track record as a CFO or Senior Finance Leader, ideally within a multi-divisional or fast-growth environment

Demonstrable expertise in forecasting, budgeting, financial control, and strategic financial planning

Hands-on, pragmatic leadership style with a "get it done" mentality--equally comfortable in the boardroom and the warehouse

Experience managing and developing Finance Controllers or similar finance teams

Track record of building and standardizing finance processes across complex business structures

Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)

Experience in logistics, recycling, supply chain, or related sectors would be highly advantageous

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance growth ambitions with financial prudence

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels
