Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
. This executive role is critical to the success of a flagship real estate and infrastructure development, overseeing financial governance, capital planning, investment management, and stakeholder reporting across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement robust financial governance structures to ensure transparency, compliance, and accountability.
Define and lead the long-term financial strategy in alignment with the project's commercial and strategic goals.
Manage capital structure planning, including debt/equity strategy, financing rounds, and fund allocation.
Build advanced investment models to assess risk-adjusted returns and support investor decision-making.
Lead funding negotiations with international and regional banks, DFIs, and investment partners.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring accuracy and adaptability across project milestones.
Implement real-time reporting frameworks and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and development teams to integrate financial controls and track project delivery.
Advise the CEO and Board on all financial matters, acting as a strategic partner on key decisions.
Represent the development to financial stakeholders, investors, and government partners, fostering transparency and trust.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial leader within large-scale infrastructure, real estate, or investment-led organisations.
Successful track record managing financial strategy across complex, multi-phase projects.
Strong understanding of capital markets, global financing instruments, and investor relations.
Experience operating in or with emerging markets is highly advantageous.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at board level.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Kurdish or Arabic is a plus.
Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent preferred; MBA or Master's in Finance is desirable.
