Junior Chief of Staff - Scratch

Location: Wandsworth, London (On-site/Hybrid)Reports to: CEO

About Scratch:Scratch is a VC-backed start up changing the way people access indoor golf. We are pioneering private self-service indoor golf bays.

Customers pay as they go or play as members and simply book by the hour, receive and unlock code for the golf bay any play.

The concept is automated, slick and (in our humble opinion) the best way to practise and play golf in urban areas. After obtaining proof of concept in our first site in London we recently received our first round of VC funding and are ready to grow.

Role Overview

As the Junior Chief of Staff at Scratch, you'll be the right hand to the CEO, providing strategic, operational, and administrative support. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain exposure to every aspect of a fast-growing start-up, drive high-impact projects, and help shape the future of urban golf experiences. You'll act as an extension of the CEO, ensuring priorities are met, projects move forward, and the business operates smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

CEO Support: Serve as a trusted advisor and brainstorming partner to the CEO, anticipating needs and proactively addressing challenges. Project Management: Lead and execute special projects across operations, marketing, and product, often with minimal guidance. Track progress on key company initiatives, gather updates from teams, and ensure alignment with company goals. Conduct research and compile data to support strategic decision-making. Operations & Communication: Streamline and improve internal processes to drive efficiency as the company scales. Draft internal and external communications on behalf of the CEO, including investor updates and board materials. Coordinate logistics for company events, offsites, and team-building activities. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with staff, executive leadership, and external stakeholders to keep everyone aligned and informed. Support the CEO in preparing for board meetings, investor presentations, and key partnerships.
What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in any discipline. 1-3 years' experience in a fast-paced environment (start-up, consulting, or similar preferred). Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to change. High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion. Passion for sports, technology, or golf is a plus--but not required.
