Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in their care. This role involves engaging children in various activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Duties

Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development. Assist with daily routines including meals, nap times, and personal hygiene. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Maintain a clean and organised environment, ensuring all toys and equipment are safe and suitable for use. Observe and document children's behaviour and development, reporting any significant changes to parents or guardians.

Requirements

Previous experience in childcare and childcare qualification required . A genuine passion for working with children and helping them grow. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. First Aid certification and Child protection (safeguarding) is advantageous but can be obtained upon hiring. Flexibility in working hours.
