Child Care Tutor, Assessor & IQA

who can also provide support across Adult Care programmes when required.

The Role


This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity for a qualified individual to join our growing academic team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging teaching sessions, assessing learner portfolios, and conducting internal quality assurance. The ability to support Adult Care provision is desirable and will enhance the collaborative nature of our team.

Key Responsibilities



Deliver interactive and learner-focused sessions for vocational qualifications in Child Care. Assess learner work in line with awarding organisation requirements and provide developmental feedback. Carry out internal quality assurance duties including sampling, standardisation, and supporting assessors. Maintain accurate records of learner progress, assessment decisions, and IQA activities. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high-quality learning experience. Support Adult Care courses when necessary, depending on experience and availability. Uphold compliance with internal policies, awarding body requirements, and sector regulations.

Essential Criteria



A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. AET, PGCE, or equivalent). A valid assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA, TAQA). Internal Quality Assurance qualification (IQA or equivalent). Proven experience in tutoring and assessing vocational qualifications in Child Care. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of learners effectively. Strong written, verbal, and organisational skills. Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and learner success.

Desirable



Experience supporting Adult Care qualifications or willingness to develop in this area. Comfortable using e-portfolio systems and delivering in both classroom and blended learning formats.
Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-32,000.00 per year

Schedule:

8 hour shift Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
