About the Role
As a Child Protection Advocate, you'll play a vital role in ensuring children and young people are meaningfully involved in Child Protection Case Conferences. You'll work directly with children and their families to:
Plan and carry out visits to capture the child's views
Support children to attend their conference or represent their voice
Prepare and present reports that clearly articulate the child's perspective
Communicate outcomes and plans in a child-friendly, creative way
Gather feedback to help shape and improve our service
Support wider Voice and Influence initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Engage with children and young people in their homes or suitable settings
Provide guidance and support around the Child Protection process
Use creative methods to help children express their views
Collaborate with professionals to ensure the child's voice is central to planning
Maintain accurate records and produce child-friendly plans
Facilitate feedback through forms, focus groups, consultations, and complaints support
